Why has politics become a field of mining to the Ghanaian politician?

Why has politics become a field of mining to the Ghanaian politician?
LISTEN

In Ghana, my ancestral native country, political arena has become the most lucrative field where a successful entrant can pluck gold from trees with their eyes closed.

One can become super rich within a year or two when they are lucky to be offered ministerial appointment, become an MMDCE (Metropolitan, Municipal, District Chief Executive) or a top party member.

Does this not explain why many a Ghanaian will do whatever it takes to enter politics, attack, and soil the reputation of their opponents and may not even think twice when harming these opponents in their attempts to win elections?

If it were not so, why would the NDC continually execute their obvious diabolic agenda of sabotage, perpetration of lies and wickedness, destruction, and condemnation, against the NPP?

If it were not so, will there be that heightened level of lawlessness in Ghana, hatched and supported by political parties?

Why has politics become so dangerous to the point of some political party, NDC of course, allegedly making it their policy to kidnap, kill, insult, and set fire to public markets just to cause public disaffection for the ruling NPP government to get them voted out of power? This fact is made bare by former NDC Chairman Samuel Ofosu Ampofo’s leaked audiotape in which he was coaching some NDC members in a secret meeting to carry out such an agenda.

Does it make any sense for some aspiring members of parliament to spend up to say, Ghc2 million each to ensure they win their seat? For the whole term of their office, four years, will their salary, ex-gratia, rent allowance, loan for car, etc., amount to Ghc2 million? No!

Why then do they spend more than they will earn in salaries and emoluments bribing voters just to win their seat? Does this not tell you they will go to parliament only to find means to steal from the public, lord themselves over the people instead of serving his/her constituents and the nation?

How I wish to see this despicable attitude of the Ghanaian politician stopped by any means possible. They are directly the cause of the socio-economic retrogression of Ghana.

How best can we stop our Ghanaian politicians from stealing to enrich themselves and their families and cronies?

Until we successfully curtail their excessive appetite for corruption, power and fame, Ghana will continually wobble in socio-economic stagnation, if not retrogression.

Shame on all these corrupt Ghanaian politicians.

Should I invoke irreversible curse upon the corrupt Ghanaian politicians if that could help curtail their fondness for corruption? I don’t have that power to do so.

Most o the members of the nation’s judiciary are equally corrupt as the politicians, if not worse.

Why is infatuation with corruption the main course meal for the Ghanaian politician, judge/lawyer, and top civil service workers?

Could there be any effective source of remedy somewhere to cure the Ghanaian politicians, judges/lawyers, and security service personnel of their illness called corruption?

Nemesis will catch up with you, all ye corrupt and wicked Ghanaian politicians that have made politics an arena for enriching themselves within a twinkle of an eye.

Which political party manifesto inspires hope?
