Toyota Relaunches Two Vehicles

Toyota Ghana Limited has launched its two new improved Toyota saloon cars on the Ghanaian market.

The vehicles are the Toyota Camry and the Toyota Avensis.

Speaking at the launch, the Marketing Manager of Toyota Ghana Limited, Nii Adotey Mingle, said the Camry and Avensis were launched in 1982 and 2002 respectively and had since received phenomenal addition on their specification.

He said there had been four model changes of the Toyota Camry after its inception in the car industry and explained that the Camry was developed under the concept “ A car deserves great pride in ownership”.

Mr Mingle said aesthetically, the new Camry presented a medium - sized sedan with advanced styling and a strong appeal.

He said the interior of the Camry had a new accent especially on the steering wheel, instruments and consoles to make the occupants more comfortable.

According to Mr Mingle, the Avensis had undergone some minor changes including the facelift, the exterior, the engine and interior features.

The new facelift Toyota Avensis includes modified automatic headlights, new front bumper and improved seat materials and said that the exterior design had the appearance of a robust, dynamic shape to reduce wind resistance.

The Deputy General Manager, Sales and Marketing, Mr Eric Y. Darko said the safety measures of the new vehicles were compact to ensure that the level of damages was minimal in case of any accident.
