Dear critical-reader, as far-right populism gains ascendancy in wealthy Global North societies, voters invariably elect extremist right-wing politicians who promise mass deportations of migrants. The question that the Global South's most ambitious young people ought to ponder over is: What is the most effective antidote and private sector business solution to counter the local effects of such mass deportation policies?
To be immune from its consequences, young business people in the Global South need to make tons of money locally, to be able to travel legally freely throughout the rich world on pivotal business trips, wai, lol, Ghanafuor. Cash is still king worldwide, hating noisy unstable places that don't protect and incentivise honest investors who are ethical operationally in all their markets.
That is why Ghana needs the nous and gumption of its green economy giants whose businesses are guided by an ethical ethos, such as Eugene Kofi Boakye-Yiadom, the CEO of Legon Botanical Gardens, and Issa Ouedraogo, the founder of the organic social impact agribusiess, B-BOVID, if it is to be to transformed into a prosperous and equitable society where all live well, oooo, Ghanafuor. They create local wealth, meaningful jobs, contribute to GDP growth, and, in the process, immunize our younger generations from mass deportation policies' effects.
By supporting nation-builders like these, the Global South can prosper, equitably distribute wealth, and protect its youth from Global North far-right populism's consequences. Let's empower our communities, foster economic growth, and create a brighter future in which our green pastures are right here - not in the Global North, lol. A word to the wise...
