Vice President Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia has said that Ghanaians are now better appreciating the strides made by the NPP government over the past seven and half years.
In a post on social media on Tuesday, July 23, after campaign engagements in the Upper West Region, Dr. Bawumia claimed Ghanaians are becoming "increasingly sophisticated" and understanding the positive impact of policies under the leadership of President Nana Akufo-Addo.
"The average Ghanaian is becoming increasingly sophisticated, accessing up to date information on world events and better appreciating the strides made so far in Ghana and the impact of my vision on future generations," Dr. Bawumia wrote.
The 2024 flagbearer of the New Patriotic Party has been highlighting progress achieved under his and President Akufo-Addo's tenure in key areas like expanding access to education, digitization drives, and infrastructure development.
However, the government continues to face criticism over high inflation, the depreciating cedi, and the ongoing debt crisis.
But Dr. Bawumia is hopeful that "with the help of all Ghanaians, it is indeed Possible" for the NPP to retain power and continue their development agenda.
