Head of Civil Service urges traditional leaders to intensify communal labour

The Head of the Civil Service, Dr Evans Aggrey-Darkoh, has called on traditional leaders to intensify communal labour and initiate developmental programmes to complement the government’s developments efforts.

He made the appeal when the Paramount Chief of Agona Nyarkrom in the Central Region, Okofo Okatakyi Nyarko Eku X, paid a courtesy call on him at his office in Accra last Thursday.

Dr Aggrey-Darkoh highlighted the critical role that traditional authorities play in the country’s development process.

On his part, the Paramount Chief, Okofo Okatakyi Nyarko Eku X, expressed optimism that Dr Aggrey-Darkoh’s extensive experience in academia and public service would enable him to fulfil his mandate effectively and elevate the Civil Service to greater heights.

The visit was to officially congratulate Dr Aggrey-Darkoh on his appointment as the Head of Ghana’s Civil Service.

Accompanying the Paramount Chief was the Agona West Municipal Assembly Presiding Member, Mr. Frank Kwesi Abban.
