Rescue Mission: The NDC owns a duty to win the 2024 elections.

A rescue mission is any form of operation to reach and rescue people in urgent need, as after a disaster. A religious mission set up to rescue human 'derelicts' from a wasted life of sin, the final aim being conversion. This is exactly what Ghana needs, “a political rescue mission”

The 2024 general elections is in my view the most important and keenly expected election in this country since 1992. This election is a rescue mission for millions of Ghanaians who are destitute and hopeless. Their only hope is to see the National Democratic Congress (NDC) return to power. This is non-negotiable and the NDC must not disappoint the citizenry.

Over the last eight years, all aspects of the Ghanaians socio-economy have deteriorated to their lowest ebb, the economy is in tatters, businesses have suffered, teachers, nurses and all civil servants are struggling to survive. The agriculture sector is in its worse state, the construction and manufacturing sector have collapsed, and foreign companies are folding up and relocating to neighbouring countries, due to the unprecedented poor economic management by the Akufo-Addo-Bawumia administration.

Life in Ghana today is unbearable; unemployment is at its highest level in three decades, yet the government and its associates are in denial, these have compelled the youth to leave this country at an unprecedented rate, the visa application centres are always full of young and vibrant youth whose only hope is to leave the shores of this country. There is simply no hope for the average Ghanaian. The only hope is to see the back of the New Patriotic Party after the 7th December election.

It is therefore the responsibility of the NDC to win the upcoming election, no “if” no “but”. The NDC cannot and must not afford to disappoint, it is inconceivable and implausible. The NDC must therefore be united, properly strategize, work hard and be focused in order to win the election, because the party owns a duty to Ghanaians to rescue this country through this victory. Anything short of this will be catastrophic, disastrous and life shattering for millions of Ghanaians whose only hope is in the NDC’s victory. In fact a lot of Ghanaians will collapse in the highly unlikely event that the NPP wins this election (perish the thought).

Ghanaians will not forgive the NDC if it fails to rescue this country from the current bunch of crooks who have masqueraded themselves as politicians and deceived us with the sole purpose of amassing wealth and capturing state assets to insulate their financial status and that of their descendants yet unborn to the detriment of the larger populace.

All NDC members from executives to the foot soldier must view this election as service to God, a rescue mission, and put aside whatever differences they may have, and come together to save this country. The polling agents must be properly trained, well catered for and well monitored to ensure they protect the votes religiously.
