The Central Regional Youth Organizer of the NDC, Lawyer Muhammad K. Twumasi Nayya has said Ghana is currently in a state of hopelessness.
"Graduate unemployment is on the rise. If the status quo remains, current students will graduate and only add to the already increasing unemployment rate in Ghana,” he said at the UCC-TEIN Conference & Alumni Connect.
He, however, assured the students that there is hope in the 24-hour economy policy proposed by former president John Mahama which aims to address unemployment in the country.
He urged the students to become ambassadors of the 24-hour economy by spreading the positive aspects of the policy in their halls of residence, lecture halls, and among friends and family.
He emphasized that winning the election requires hard work and vigilance to ensure that every vote counts.
Nayyar assured the students and the NDC party that the youth under the Regional Young Wing will protect and defend the sovereign will of the people in the region and will not allow anyone to steal the mandate of the good people of Ghana.
