Creation of new regions like Savannah has helped develop our communities — Bawumia

Vice President and flagbearer of the NPP, Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, has stated that the creation of the Savannah Region by the Akufo-Addo government has significantly accelerated infrastructure development in the area.

The Savannah Region, one of five newly-created regions, was carved out of the Northern Region by the current government.

During a campaign visit to Bole on Sunday, Dr. Bawumia addressed the Paramount Chief of Bole and his elders, emphasizing the NPP’s commitment to development at the local level.

"We are in politics to help develop our communities and the country. It is significant to note that many of the developments you see in Bole and in the Savannah Region took place under the NPP, and given the chance, we will be able to do even more,” he stated.

Dr. Bawumia highlighted the various benefits and projects that have been provided in the Savannah Region since its creation.

"We have created the Savannah Region and the Savannah Region is seeing a lot of benefits. We are seeing a lot of projects, a lot of roads, a lot of hospitals - the agenda 111 hospitals in various areas. We are doing a lot in Savannah and we want to continue to do more," he noted.

He also detailed specific developments within the Bole constituency, expressing, "In the Bole constituency, we have done a number of school blocks, market centers, chip compounds."

“We are doing a lot but we have not yet finished. That is why we are requesting your support so that we can continue and do more,” Dr. Bawumia added.

Welcoming Dr. Bawumia, the Bolewura appealed to him to address other concerns of the Bole community, including the construction of the Sawla road, Bole market, and the Bole Central Mosque.

Dr. Bawumia agreed to renovate the mosque and further assured the community that their concerns would be addressed.
