Fitch Solutions, a renowned international research and data firm, has released a report indicating that the opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC) is in a strong position to win the 2024 presidential elections.
The report cites the current economic challenges facing Ghana as a significant factor influencing voters' decisions, which could put the ruling New Patriotic Party (NPP) at a disadvantage.
The Fitch Solutions report suggests that the NDC's candidate, John Mahama, has a significant lead in the polls, with 54% of respondents favoring him.
Reacting to the report, Nana Obiri Boahen, a prominent figure in NPP, is urging his party members to take the predictions seriously and avoid the insults.
"We must take Fitch Solutions' report seriously and work towards addressing the economic concerns of Ghanaians. Complacency and insults will not lead us to victory," he stated.
The former Deputy General Secretary of the NPP emphasized the need for the NPP to focus on refining its strategies and demonstrating its commitment to economic management and job creation, which are critical issues for voters.
The NPP has been urged to take the report seriously and work towards addressing the economic challenges facing the country to reverse the trend and secure victory in the 2024 elections.
