A founding member of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), Dr. Nyaho Nyaho-Tamakloe has cautioned the Electoral Commission against conducting unfair polls in the 2024 general election.
Speaking to Joy News, he said any tricks from the EC to change the results of the December 7 polls would lead the country into serious disaster.
“Particularly to the Electoral Commission, any tricks they will play to change the results will lead this country into a serious disaster.
“You the young people, you should open your ears and make sure that this doesn’t happen because you will lose,” Dr. Nyaho Nyaho-Tamakloe said.
In the interview, the NPP founding member said he is not optimistic the ticket of Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia and Dr. Matthew Opoku Prempeh can win the 2024 general election.
He is of the view that the running mate was imposed on the flagbearer.
"That ticket I personally, don't believe can win a genuine election in this country," Dr. Nyaho Nyaho-Tamakloe said.
He continued, “And as I predicted earlier, that there is no way Bawumia will have a free hand to pick his running mate? Never. I said it earlier, I have the tape. [I said] his running mate we pick for him. And that’s exactly what happened. Why should Bawumia not be allowed to pick his own running mate? Whether he will gel with his running mate, that is his palava.”
