New Patriotic Party (NPP) National Youth Organizer, Salam Mustapha, has urged Ghanaian electorates not to sacrifice their lives in the upcoming presidential and parliamentary elections.
Contributing to Peace FM's "Kokrokoo" morning show, Salam Mustapha advised voters to conduct themselves peacefully and within the boundaries of the election process.
"We are duty-bound to protect our members as well as protect our ballots. Of course, we work with the security agencies.
“I don't take away the role of the security of the Police; they should come in," he said, cautioning members and supporters of all political parties, particularly the New Patriotic Party (NPP) and the National Democratic Congress (NDC), against engaging in electoral malpractices and violence.
Salam called for peace and stability during the elections, emphasizing, "We are going into elections to vote, not to throw bullets.
“You can't wrap your head around it. It's very disturbing that people die during elections."
The NPP youth leader expressed confidence that the December 7 polls will be in favor of his party.
