Professor of Linguistics, Kofi Agyekum, has advised political leaders and all Ghanaians to conduct themselves properly during the December 7 elections.

Speaking on Peace FM’s “Kokrokoo” morning show, Prof. Kofi Agyekum, popularly known as Opanyin Agyekum expressed concern over the bad attitudes exhibited by some individuals loyal to their political parties.

He urged the citizenry not to follow politicians blindly or be incited to engage in violence on election day.

He further rebuked politicians who incite their supporters against opponents and urged them to avoid "politics of insults."

"The difference between us and animals is conscience.

“Both are considered as plus animate in linguistics. We are all animals, but we, humans, have conscience.

“So, humans shouldn't behave like animals who have no conscience," he said.

You want peace, therefore, I appreciate your advice, but it's more important for a failed government that has destroyed the nation beyond remedy, yet, still, wants to manipulate the election. The message is clear, the majority of the people are not interested in the liar, Bawumia, let alone the arrogant Matthew Opoku Prempeh. If the NPP tries, there will be violence, so, they shouldn't underestimate the people.

Is Mahama's government heading in the right direction?
