Former Central Regional Minister, Kwamena Duncan, has urged former President John Dramani Mahama to accept the challenge to engage in a debate with Vice President and NPP presidential candidate, Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia.
Dr. Bawumia has called on the NDC flagbearer, John Mahama for a debate with him to compare their track records and inform the electorate about their policies ahead of the December 7 elections.
“I am looking forward to a debate with John Mahama on the economy, on the country, on governance. But I am afraid that he is running away from a debate.
“His people say he doesn’t want to debate. I have never heard an opposition leader who doesn’t want to debate.
“But he knows I will expose the emptiness of his policies,” Dr. Bawumia said while addressing his supporters in Bunkpurugu, North East Region.
Reacting to this on Peace FM's "Kokrokoo" morning show, Kwamena Duncan urged Ghanaians to pressure John Mahama to accept the challenge.
"Everyone, every good Ghanaian citizen must call on the former President; present yourself," he stated.
He believes the debate would clarify matters on national issues for Ghanaians to make the right choice during the parliamentary and presidential elections on December 7.
