Homosexuality: a blessing, a curse or what?

Former German F1 driver Ralf Schumacher this week (15.07.2024) outed himself as being in love with a man leaving his divorced marriage with his ex-wife behind.

God (for unbelievers: the universe) created man and woman as its primary source to multiply and take dominion over the world. This is reflected in the DNA that determines our sex male or female. On very rare occasions humans are born with the organs of both sexes. These people are very small in the LGBTQ+ community. Most members of this group have the same sex determination in their DNA as heterosexuals. Only 1% of our Gen combination influences us whether or not to have sex and love with the same sex. Children of homosexual couples do not necessarily turn out to be homosexuals even having grown up in a homosexual environment. They still generate out of the old tradition that sperm fertilize eggs be it through sexual intercourse or artificial insemination - egg or sperm donation.

Alexander the Great was married and had children. He also had a boyfriend Hephaistion. Alexander the Great had no coming out proclamation as far as the sources reveal to us but lived his love to his male friend in the open in a macho society not being criticized behind closed doors for it as far as the science of history knows as of today. In outrage over a comment made by Hephaistion over Alexander's attitude towards the Persian king, he killed his lover. For days he refused to leave his tent mourning the death of his lover.

During the Roman Empire orgies with men and women alike were not unheard of but common. As they followed their own Gods sex with any partner male or female hetero, bi or homosexual was not a moral or societal issue. When the Catholic Church took over the standards of society things changed. One man one woman became the norm and anything other than that was the work of the devil.

In Africa, polygamy is a long-standing tradition based on the belief each woman has a right to get married in societies that have more women than men by birthrate, protection of widows in the family, or as a status symbol of rich men. Homosexuality in Africa is often regarded as an imported disease of the white man not connected to African tradition.

Scientific studies massively available on the internet see outside influence as the main factor why someone would come out and proclaim himself/herself as homosexual. The fact that race drivers, footballers, or politicians have to live a double life to fulfill their ambitions is very unfortunate.

The attraction to sex with a partner of the same sex or different sex is for even heteros tempting or a way to experience the fullness of sex but different from love in which sex is part of the way and relationship.

To explain homosexuality as a biological, spiritual, destiny, or education influence phenomenon seems not to be sufficient enough. As explanations are hard to find it matters how each individual and society in its rights and traditions deal with it.
