The Minister of Water Resources, Works and Housing, Mr Hackman Owusu-Agyeman, has urged constituency executives in the Upper East Region, who would be attending the party's national delegates congress to elect him as the flag bearer.

Speaking to the press shortly after he had interacted with regional executives of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) at Bolgatanga, Mr Owusu-Agyeman, one the presidential aspirants of the NPP, said he was very confident of his chances of becoming the next president of the country.

He did not give details of what transpired at the meeting with the regional executives of the party.

Mr Owusu–Agyeman was in the Upper East Region to interact with party executives and to reaffirm his candidacy in the presidential race.

“The campaign so far has been most encouraging. I think with the work that we have done and with God on our side, victory will be ours” he said, in response to a question as to how he rated himself.

Some of the constituencies he visited in the region included Pusiga, Garu, Zebilla, Sandema, Navrongo, Bongo, Talensi-Nabdam, Bawku and Bolgatanga, where he interacted extensively with the party's executives.

Sources close to the meetings told this reporter that they discussed a range of party and national issues.
