Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, the 2024 flagbearer of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), has promised to do more if elected as President of Ghana.
In his ongoing nationwide constituency tour, Dr. Bawumia met with traditional leaders, stakeholders and youth groups in Kpandai, Wulensi and Bimbilla constituencies last week.
Addressing the gatherings, Dr. Bawumia said "I have been an agent of change as Vice President with its limited powers, and I will do even more as President when given the mandate to serve as leader of the nation."
In his tour, the Vice President has been touting the achievements of the current NPP administration.
He highlighted some successes which include digitization of government services to reduce corruption, rolling out of flagship programs like Free SHS, planting for food and jobs, among others.
However, Dr. Bawumia believes he can impact more change as President if given the mandate.
“The enthusiastic endorsement of my vision for Ghana's next chapter was both exciting and humbling. Indeed," he added in a social media post on Saturday, July 13.
