Musician reportedly lynched at married girlfriend's house in Kumasi

A musician has reportedly been beaten to death in the house of his girlfriend who is married in Abuakwa-Tanoso, Ashanti Region.

According to blogger Edhub who reported the story on Saturday, July 13, Nana Yaw, known by his stage name Wyllbee(@wyllbeemusic, traveled from Accra to Kumasi to spend several days with his girlfriend.

In his report, Edhub wrote; "According to reports, the deceased traveled from Accra to Kumasi to spend several days with his girlfriend, who unknown to him, was married to a man abroad and lived with her in-laws."

It is reported that in the early hours of Friday, July 5, Wyllbee woke up to urinate outside the house when some occupants confronted him, suspecting him to be a thief.

When he explained he was there to see his girlfriend, the lady allegedly denied knowing him to protect her marriage.

“This escalated the situation as occupants of the house alerted neighbors that they had caught a thief, leading to the deceased being brutally beãten," Edhub added.

The musician was rushed to a local hospital and later transferred to Okomfo Anokye Teaching Hospital where he unfortunately succumbed to his injuries.

The tragic incident, which occurred due to a miscommunication, has stunned industry players and fans of the emerging musician.

The police are reportedly investigating the circumstances that led to the violence.
