Kwame Nkrumah has no mate; he wasn't corrupt — Prophet Nigel Gaisie on NAPO’s comment

The founder and leader of Prophetic Hill Chapel, Prophet Nigel Gaisie, has waded into the comparison between President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo and Ghana's first president, Dr. Kwame Nkrumah.

Speaking at his unveiling on On Tuesday, July 9, NPP running mate Dr. Matthew Opoku Prempeh, known affectionately as Napo, argued that no leader has developed Ghana like Nana Akufo-Addo since independence.

But in a lengthy Facebook post on Thursday, July 11, Prophet Nigel Gaisie took issue with Napo's comments.

According to him, Kwame Nkrumah wasn't corrupt but a selfless leader who dedicated himself to the development of Ghana.

He contrasted it with how present-day leaders have strongly amassed so much wealth and property in almost every part of the world, saying "NKRUMAH HAS NO MATE, HE WASN'T CORRUPT."

Prophet Gaisie said, "I have NEVER SEEN DR.KWAME NKRUMAH'S PERSONAL HOUSES ANYWHERE (HOME/ABORAD) but going around the world I see these latter days saints *their houses spread everywhere I go, just last three weeks I was in the Bronx, New York and I saw houses the Ghanaian taxpayers' money have been used to buy, Florida and New Jersey dierrrr, I wot go there by some of these guys **IN POWER**."

Prophet Gaisie defended Kwame Nkrumah's record and legacy, stressing the first president did not enrich himself despite leading Ghana to independence and its early years of development.
