Founding president of IMANI Africa, Franklin Cudjoe has admonished presidential aspirants to stop focusing on trivial matters and prioritise matters of concern to Ghanaians ahead of the 2024 General Election.
In a post shared on social media on Thursday, July 11, he said presidential aspirants should focus on the financial distress Ghanaians are enduring amid the country's economic challenges.
Franklin Cudjoe’s call comes after a study by Old Mutual revealed that 70% of Ghanaians are financially distressed.
The study also said only 17% of Ghanaians have confidence in the economy.
"Only 17 % of Ghanaians have confidence in the economy. 70% are financially distressed"- Old Mutual study, Nov 23. This is what matters now & 2028,” Franklin Cudjoe said in his post on Facebook.
He continued, “Who can deliver us from this hell?JM, Bawumia, Alan, CPP? Cheddar, Ayarigah or Apaloo?”
With just five months left for Ghanaians to go for the 2024 General Election, various politicians have started going after each other.
Speaking to New Patriotic Party (NPP) supporters in Nalerigu on Wednesday, flagbearer Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia said NDC flagbearer John Dramani Mahama has no proper policies.
He described the policies of the former President as empty and dared him for a debate.
According to John Dramani Mahama, Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia must be rejected by Ghanaians in the December 7 poll after being part of what he has described as the corrupt administration of President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo.
