A 24-hour forecast issued by the Ghana Meteorological Agency (GMet), says many parts of Ghana can expect rainfall accompanied by thunderstorms this evening.

In the forecast valid from 6PM on Monday, July 8, GMet's duty forecaster Kezia Apperkon noted that "mostly cloudy conditions will prevail over most places in the country tonight with chances of slight to moderate rains with or without thunder expected over few areas along the coastline and inland areas."

The forecast added, "Most places within the northern half will experience thunderstorms and rain."

Areas along the coastal belt like Accra, Cape Coast and Takoradi are given a 30% chance of rainfall this evening according to the forecast.

Inland cities such as Kumasi, Sunyani and Techiman are also anticipated to receive thunderstorms and rain of 30-60% probability.

Mist and fog patches are predicted to form early tomorrow morning over forest areas and portions of the coast according to the forecast.

Maximum temperatures across most of the country are expected to range between 26-28 degrees Celsius in the afternoon when sunny intervals are expected after the rains clear.
