Founder and Leader of Movement for Change, Alan Kyerematen has emphatically stated that he will contest for President in the 2024 General Election.
After breaking away from the ruling New Patriotic Party (NPP), many political analysts argued that he will be a kingmaker in the 2024 general election if he decided to contest for president as an independent candidate.
Speaking to Asempa FM on the ‘Ekosii sen’ programme on Tuesday, June 25, the former Minister of Trade and Industry said he will be in the race to win it and not as a kingmaker.
“I will be on the ballot for the December polls. Nobody can stop me from contesting in the December polls.
“I am in the race to win and not as a kingmaker. The outcome of the election will shock Ghanaians,” Alan Kyerematen said.
In the interview, the experienced politician accused the NPP and NDC of failing Ghanaians for over three decades.
He said when he becomes president, he will usher the country into a new era of development and prosperity.
“NDC and NPP have disappointed Ghanaians. NPP and NDC have done nothing substantial after 32 years in power. I have something new to offer.
“I will shock NDC and NPP in the December polls,” Alan Kyerematen stressed.
