On Thursday, June 20, 2024, philanthropist and businessman Nelson Ndebah Ndebugre, CEO of Ndebah Solutions and son of the late Hon. John Akparibo Ndebugre, donated sports equipment and mathematical sets to the sports unit of Zebilla Senior High Technical School and all final-year Junior High School students preparing for this year’s Basic Education Certificate Examination (BECE) in the Bawku West District of the Upper East Region.
During a brief ceremony at the Zebilla Senior High Technical School sports unit, Ndebah Solutions presented items including three footballs, three volleyballs, a treadmill, and other equipment to enhance students' skills in sports and promote physical fitness.
Nelson Ndebah Ndebugre, a native of Timonde in the district, emphasized the role of sports, particularly soccer, in achieving educational and health benefits. He highlighted that this donation is part of his ongoing commitment to support students’ basic needs as part of his social responsibility.
Ndebugre underscored the importance of education for a country's socio-economic and political development, noting that it helps bridge the gap between the rich and the poor. He expressed his desire to see students become professionals such as lawyers, educators, soldiers, commissioned police officers, business entrepreneurs, and more to contribute to the development of Bawku West.
The Assistant Headmaster in charge of administration, Mr. Asaah Joseph Nsobilla, received the sports equipment on behalf of the Headmaster, Richard Ayabilla. Mr. Nsobilla expressed heartfelt gratitude to Nelson Ndebah Ndebugre for his continuous support of students in the district and assured him that the items would be put to good use for the benefit of current and future students.
District Director of Education, Timothy Nasaal, received the mathematical sets, which were packaged in boxes for distribution. He expressed his gratitude to Mr. Ndebugre for his generosity, stating that the mathematical sets would significantly aid the candidates in mathematics, science, and technical subjects ahead of their exams. Mr. Nasaal thanked Mr. Ndebugre for his consistent support of students from basic schools over the years.
