Member of Parliament (MP) for Asunafo South, Hon. Eric Opoku has opined that it is clear the ruling New Patriotic Party (NPP) will lose the 2024 general election.

According to the Ranking Member for Food, Agric & Cocoa Affairs in Parliament, most Ghanaians who are objective also share the same view and expect the NPP government to be booted out of office on December 7.

Speaking to Asempa FM on the ‘Ekosii sen’ programme, Hon. Eric Opoku said the NPP has failed woefully.

“Most objective Ghanaians know that NPP is on its way out of power. They have failed woefully in government,” the Asunafo South MP said.

Hon. Eric Opoku continued, “The exchange rate has exposed the NPP government as poor managers of the economy.”

The view of the Asunafo South Member of Parliament is shared by many political analysts in the country.

Although several polls have also predicted the NPP to lose in the 2024 general election, the party is confident and believes flagbearer Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia will become president after December 7.

The flagbearer and Vice President to President Akufo-Addo has in the last few weeks toured the entire country as part of his campaign.

He has during that time engaged in a door-to-door campaign and solicited for the views of Ghanaians.

With less than six months to the general election, all political parties are gearing up to intensify their campaign in a bid to win power.
