Partly cloudy weather is expected over most parts of Ghana this morning according to a forecast released by the Ghana Meteorological Agency (GMet).
The 24-hour forecast released at 5am on Tuesday, June 18, predicts "generally partly cloudy weather for most areas in the country this morning with a few cases of intermittent slight to moderate rains over the coastline into the inland areas amid misty conditions."
As the morning progresses, sunny periods will emerge across many regions.
However, "the possibility of late afternoon thunderstorms or rain affecting places within the coast, middle and transition belts cannot be ruled out," forecasts GMet Duty Forecaster, Fredrick Q. Cudjoe.
The forecast further notes areas along Ghana's coast like Takoradi and Accta can expect rain with a 30% probability this morning amid misty skies.
It adds Kumasi and Obuasi in the middle belt will see misty conditions clearing to partly cloudy skies by the afternoon with a 30% chance of thunderstorms.
The northern regions will largely remain sunny throughout the day according to the forecast.
Towns like Yendi, Tamale, and Bolgatanga will see partly cloudy skies clearing to sunny intervals during the afternoon hours.
