'Sinking' Bawumia has turned to rescuer Ken Agyapong to confront Mahama — Vim Lady

Outspoken media personality Afia Pokua, popularly known as Vim Lady, has shared her views on the potential influence of Kennedy Agyapong on Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia's campaign and its implications for the New Patriotic Party (NPP) in the upcoming 2024 elections.

Vim Lady highlighted that since Dr. Bawumia's nomination in the NPP primaries, the party's pre-election campaign has not been as effective compared to the efforts of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) led by John Dramani Mahama.

She pointed out that Dr. Bawumia is facing challenges in addressing past comments about the economy and suggested that Kennedy Agyapong's involvement could provide a much-needed boost to the NPP's campaign.

Speaking on Okay FM, Vim Lady remarked, "NPP's campaign seemed uncertain, but with Ken Agyapong's entry into the scene, it's set for another contest. Mahama is currently leading the campaign efforts. If the NPP's campaign were at full strength, there would be no need for Ken Agyapong's participation."

She noted that certain actions by President Akufo-Addo have put the party in an unfavourable position, worsening Bawumia's difficulties.

"With the economy faltering, soaring inflation, and unemployment challenges, Bawumia has turned to Agyapong as a shining armour and a rescuer to tackle these issues and take on the necessary confrontations," she added.

These remarks come in the wake of Kennedy Agyapong's active support for Dr. Bawumia during the NPP Ashanti Regional campaign tour.
