Africa is grappling with global challenges of an unprecedented scale that threaten security and prosperity on the continent.
Kenyan President William Ruto said during his remarks at the ongoing G7 Summit in Italy on Friday, June 14.
"We find ourselves in the grip of relentless global challenges of unprecedented magnitude. Only effective collective action by the international community can offer a reasonable chance of managing and overcoming these challenges," Ruto told world leaders gathered in Apulia.
The Kenyan leader noted that Africa continues to endure numerous conflicts, including long-forgotten wars that have killed hundreds of thousands and displaced millions.
He cited ongoing crises in Sudan, the Middle East, and Europe that have brought "unthinkable carnage and widespread economic disruption."
Ruto added that countries in the Horn of Africa like Kenya are still recovering from deadly floods and the worst drought in recent history, while southern Africa is experiencing a similar pattern of destructive climate extremes.
The president called for coordinated international action to address the mounting insecurity, economic and climate challenges confronting the African continent.

As long as you Mr. Ruto, Akufo Adoo , Tinubu, Biya and others continue with your puppetship of house slaves style of governance, Africa would never be free and continue to face challenges.
