Labianca Company Limited, one of the largest frozen food imports in West Africa, is mourning the loss of its Chief Executive Officer (CEO), Eunice Jacqueline Buah Asomah-Hinneh.
She passed away on Tuesday, June 11, while on admission at the International Maritime Hospital (IMAH) at Tema in the Greater Accra region.
In a statement dated June 14, Labianca's management said Mrs. Asomah-Hinneh was "a truly remarkable individual who left an indelible mark on our lives and our community."
They described her as "a shining example of dedication, compassion, and leadership, and her contributions to the company, industry, and Ghana will be deeply missed."
Beyond her role at Labianca, the late CEO held several other titles that displayed her diverse contributions.
She was a Member of the Council of State, a community leader, a mentor, a business executive, and "a friend to many," according to the statement.
"Her legacy will continue to inspire and guide us in the days ahead," the statement further read.
Funeral arrangements are currently underway for Mrs. Asomah-Hinneh, who the workers say touched so many lives through her work.
A book of condolence has been opened at the reception of the company located at Tema Harbour for the public to honour her.
The company has requested privacy for the family during this difficult time.
