Former Deputy Minister of Communications, Felix Kwakye Ofosu has lashed out at the government of President Akufo-Addo and his Vice Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, describing the administration as "childish and petty."

This follows a meeting between Sports Minister Mustapha Ussif and the Ghana Amputee National team nicknamed the Black Challenge.

At the meeting, the Minister berated the Black Challenge for seeking help from other entities including former President John Mahama.

Hon. Mustapha Ussif at the meeting told the team to account for all monies received before government will provide any reward.

Since the video went viral, many have argued that the Sports Minister is irate because former President John Dramani Mahama early this week hosted the Black Challenge and donated $10,000 cash to them.

Commenting on the story, Felix Kwakye Ofosu has opined that it goes to show the pettiness of President Akufo-Addo’s government.

He said government officials must stop such behaviour and get serious.

“This Akufo-Addo/Bawumia government should cut out the childish sulking and pettiness and get serious. After neglecting these vulnerable athletes for so long, they gather the nerve go berate them for seeking help elsewhere only because John Dramani Mahama made a donation to them two days ago,” Felix Kwakye Ofosu said.

He continued, “Why is the sports Minister not raving and ranting over the Bawumia’s donation to the Black Stars a few days ago?”
