There's an angel leading Bawumia and his campaign — Allotey Jacobs 

Bernard Allotey Jacobs has expressed excitement over the unity displayed by the failed flagbearer aspirants of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) in support of Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia's campaign tour.

The Vice President's tour of the Ashanti Region saw him joined by four of his contenders of the party's presidential primary, most notably the Assin Central MP and business mogul, Kennedy Agyapong.

Kennedy Agyapong, who had been a formidable contender against Dr. Bawumia, dispelled any speculation of lingering discord by actively participating in the campaign.

He urged voters to support Bawumia, emphasizing the accomplishments of the current government.

“As a businessman and politician, I understand both politics and business. I acknowledge the current hardships, but when you vote, remember that the NDC is not a viable option. They are very dangerous,” Agyapong stated.

He highlighted the achievements under the Akufo-Addo-Bawumia administration, such as the Free SHS program, which covered fees and provided uniforms for students, noting, “Even in developed countries, governments don’t buy uniforms for students.

“So, I urge all of you to recognize that even developed countries are facing economic crises. Don’t be deceived by false promises. Remember the NDC’s past governance. Let’s all support Bawumia.”

Allotey Jacobs was overwhelmed by the widespread support Bawumia is receiving through what he termed his "retail campaign."

He noted the essence of the other aspirants rallying behind Bawumia, which he believes will help mend any past divisions and strengthen the campaign moving forward.

"The magic in this retail campaign has brought other contestants who were competing with him for the flagbearership; they're all back on board.

“For whatever they said, they are all back on board and they are going to help repair the damage they caused to move forward," Jacobs stated while speaking on the Peace FM “Kokrokoo” morning show.

He stated, "there is an Angel leading Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia and his campaign."
