Founder of IMANI Africa, Franklin Cudjoe has reacted to the leaked audio tape of the alleged conversation of Attorney General Godfred Yeboah Dame attempting to get Richard Jakpa, the third accused person in the ambulance purchase trial to implicate Dr. Cassiel Ato Forson, the first accused person.
In multiple posts on Facebook on Tuesday, Franklin Cudjoe described the Attorney General as dangerous, drawing similarities between him and a cobra.
The IMANI Africa boss holds the view that Attorney General Godfred Yeboah Dame must be relieved of his duties.
“I was right about the AG. Ato Forson's trial was political.
“And l am sorry. I was wrong about the AG's inability to do what he has been accused of. Nipa y3 bad. AG y3 cobra. He must go,” Franklin Cudjoe said in his post on Facebook.
The audio allegedly implicating the Attorney General was released by the National Democratic Congress (NDC) on Tuesday.
In the audio, the third accused person in the ambulance trial, rejected coaching from the Attorney General, insisting that he would be dishonest if he goes by how the Attorney General wants him to proceed in the trial.
For the NDC, Attorney General Godfred Dame has engaged in an illegality and must resign.
The party has served notice that when John Dramani Mahama becomes president, the Attorney General will be prosecuted.
In a spirited defense, the New Patriotic Party (NPP) has indicated that the Attorney General will not resign.
