The Fourth Estate, a renowned investigative news portal and project of the Media Foundation for West Africa (MFWA), is set to release a new exposé.
In a flyer shared on Twitter on Tuesday, May 28, the publication teased that the exposé aimed at Ghana’s judicial system would be released on Wednesday, May 29.
The flyer stated: "WATCH OUT! The Poor and Ghana's Justice System. Wednesday, May 29, 2024."
In recent days, conversations about alleged judicial manipulation have risen in the Ghanaian media landscape.
This comes after a revelation against Ghana’s Attorney General and Minister of Justice Godfred Yeboah Dame in the ongoing ambulance procurement case against former Deputy Finance Minister Cassiel Ato Forson and two others.
On Thursday, May 23, Richard Jakpa, a third accused in the case, alleged during cross-examination that Mr. Dame has been seeking his help at odd hours to implicate Dr. Ato Forson.
Jakpa stated: "The A-G has on several occasions engaged me at odd hours to help him make a case against A1 and I have evidence for that.. If he pushes me, I will open the Pandora’s box. I don’t understand why the A-G will accuse me of defending A1 when I’m here to defend myself."
While the office of the Attorney General denied any wrongdoing in response, the opposition National Democratic Congress says it has evidence against him.
