H.E. John Dramani Mahama is widely regarded as a visionary leader, and his progressive policies and forward-thinking approach have put him ahead of his contemporaries in many ways.

Here are some areas where he has demonstrated his forward-thinking approach:

Digitalisation: Mahama has been a strong advocate for digitalisation and implemented high-end initiatives to leverage technology for economic development, education, and healthcare.

Renewable Energy: He has championed the use of renewable energy sources, particularly solar power, to reduce Ghana's reliance on fossil fuels and mitigate climate change.

Infrastructure Development: Mahama invested heavily in infrastructure development, including roads, bridges, and transportation systems, to enhance economic growth and connectivity.

Education: He has prioritised education, introducing cutting-edge initiatives to increase access to quality education, especially in rural communities. His Basic Education Programme provided equitable access to good quality and child-friendly universal basic education.

Under Mahama's government, the school shift system, through which pupils run shifts due to lack of adequate classrooms were eliminated in many communities. With this, it became difficult for school children to skip school to play truant in the name of the school shift system.

Healthcare: Mahama worked to improve healthcare services, including the establishment of the University of Ghana Medical Centre and many others which became beacons of hope for many Ghanaians. These healthcare facilities were more than just buildings; they were pillars of strength for their respective communities.
