Joyce Bawa Mogtari, a Special Aide to former President John Mahama, has slammed the ruling New Patriotic Party (NPP) communicators for constantly attacking the former President.

She says the ruling party still has the audacity to malign the former President and the opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC) after looting public funds.

In a post via X on Thursday, February 22, Ms Bawa Mogtari slammed the NPP for its "historic failure and corruption".

Bawa Mogtari further stated, "You have the audacity to steal and waste our money and still come here and share irritating attempts to malign John Mahama and the NDC, check how many 'eyeballs' you have after a few hours and that should tell you something, remove the logs from your eyes."

The comments come amidst allegations of corruption constantly levelled against the Akufo-Addo administration by the opposition NDC and some civil society organizations tracking governance issues.

Key projects like the botched PDS power deal and the Agyapa royalty agreements have faced corruption claims.

Meanwhile, the economy is also experiencing downturns resulting in unstable currency, rising cost of living and others.
