The Ghana Communication Technology University inaugurated its state-of-the-art multi-purpose sports complex.

Spearheaded by Vice Chancellor Prof. Emmanuel Ohene-Afoakwa, the facility reflects the university's commitment to physical fitness and well-rounded education.

Prof. Ohene-Afoakwa revealed in an interview with the media, that there has been an increase in student applications and admissions since the government's ICT mandate, with a focus on programs like Information Technology, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, and Cyber Security.

The newly built sports complex features AstroTurf, a multi-purpose sports facility, and seating for 220 spectators. Prof. Ohene-Afoakwa highlighted its contribution to students' academic and recreational pursuits.


Harrison Amoako, SRC President, praised the management of the modern complex, emphasizing its role in student entertainment and talent nurturing.

The sports complex not only enhances physical well-being but also provides a platform for students to engage in various sporting activities, fostering teamwork and camaraderie.

As the university continues to prioritize technological education, the integration of such recreational spaces emphasizes a balanced approach to student growth, ensuring a dynamic and vibrant campus experience.
