The leadership of Movement for Change has warned the governing New Patriotic Party (NPP) and the opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC) against undemocratic actions on their leader and founder, Alan Kyeramaten.
In a statement released today, 22nd February 2024, the Movement claims it has received credible information that the NPP plans to disrupt Mr. Kyerematen’s meetings, especially with market communities, in an attempt to tarnish his reputation following his engagements with market women and men across the Ashanti Region.
The Movement noted, however, that these cowardly tactics have failed to discourage them and instead fortified their determination.
They urged the NPP, NDC, and other parties to avoid engaging in such undemocratic behaviours as the 2024 elections draw near.
The press release also emphasised that no amount of intimidation can derail Mr. Kyerematen's stellar reputation or his commitment to transform Ghana through his Great Transformational Plan and that the Movement for Change remains focused on its mission to elect Mr. Kyerematen as Ghana's next president.
