Prof. Smart Sarpong, the Director of the Institute of Research Innovation and Development, has urged presidential aspirants, including former President John Dramani Mahama, to promptly share their visions and aspirations with the public.
This follows his analysis of the vision statement delivered by Vice President Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia at UPSA on Wednesday, February 7.
In his critique, Prof. Sarpong urges aspirants to present their policies to the Ghanaian electorate to guide them in making informed decisions.
Prof. Sarpong stated, "Bring your visions. Bring your aspirations...We are waiting for you.
“Bring your documents for us to interrogate them. Whether it is detailed like Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia's or not, it is still your vision.
“Pen it down and let us compare and contrast, and we will do the discussion dispassionately for the voters to make decisions that will help Ghana."
The professor made these remarks during an appearance on Peace FM's morning show "Kokrokoo."
While commending Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, the Vice President and flagbearer of the governing New Patriotic Party, for his detailed policies, Prof. Sarpong also noted that there were areas where improvements could be made.
