Bawumia’s assertion in his ‘Bold Solution’ speech is a coup against Akufo-Addo — Edudzi Tamakloe

Godwin Edudzi Tamakloe, Head of the Legal Team of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), has taken a swipe at Vice-President Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, claiming that his recent address is nothing short of a betrayal and a coup against his boss, President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo.

Tamakloe alleges that the vice president's intentions behind the widely publicised speech were not to provide solutions for Ghana's challenges but rather to publicly discredit the Nana Addo-led government.

Expressing his disbelief, Tamakloe questioned Dr. Bawumia's sudden change in posture, considering his role in shaping government policies and their implementation as the chair of the Economic Management Team.

“What is he [Dr. Bawumia] talking about? Go to his website and he describes himself as the vice president of Ghana and chairs the Economic Management Team which is responsible for shaping government policies and guiding their implementation.

“Why is he today telling us otherwise?” Tamakloe exclaimed during an interview on NEAT FM’s 'Ghana Montie' morning show.

He expresses his shock at Dr. Bawumia's alleged attempt to undermine the Akufo-Addo administration, stating, “I must say Dr. Bawumia’s assertion in his ‘Bold Solution’ speech is a coup d'état’ against Akufo-Addo.”
