No More Presidential Experimentation In 2024 After Akufo-Addo!

As a Scientist, I know scientific experiments are highly crucial for research and development (R&D). Experiments are usually done to reflect the realities of a phenomenon in controlled environments or labs to either better understand an observation or for demonstration purposes (also known as ‘Practical’).

However, in the context of Ghanaian political environment or ‘lab’, I strongly advised against what I refer to as ‘Presidential experimentation’ in the upcoming 2024 Presidential elections after Akufo-Addo’s uninspiring Presidency.

I hereby submit to Ghanaian Voters that there should be no more Presidential experimentation after the experimented President Akufo-Addo is gone on January 6, 2025!

To ascend to the Presidency, President Akufo-Addo openly begged Ghanaians to try him or ‘experiment’ him by voting for him to be the next President after former President Mahama in 2016.

He made Ghanaians believed that he was prepared for the job as President because he i) was not corrupt, ii) was no-nonsense-person, iii) knew how to manage the economy and finally iv) would protect the public purse in his third attempt in the 2016 General elections.

President Akuffo-Addo was indeed experimented! He has given Ghanaians soar grapes to swallow now with unprecedented corruption scandals and general mismanagement of the economy together with his overhyped Vice President, Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia who is the current Flagbearer of the government NPP Party for the 2024 General elections.

From the utterances of the Vice President and now Flagbearer of the governing NPP Party, he lacks that needed moral and intellectual credibility to convince Ghanaians to also try him and see or presidentially experiment like his boss, President Akufo-Addo after a show of uninspiring leadership and lack of problem-solving skills in his government.

Undisputably, Dr. Bawumia is at the left, center, and right of the economic, social, and environmental mess being created by the Akufo-Addo-led regime, the ‘chief driver'. As I said in one of my publications, Dr. Bawumia is not his own man and cannot be trusted at all.

We rather need a highly experienced and tested President to undertake targeted crisis management in all sectors of the economy and the governance of the country after Akufo-Addo is gone after 2024.

The most suitable Presidential candidate who can competently do the job is former President John Dramani Mahama (JDM). Let me expatiate further.

The genuine intentions, efforts and commitments of JDM are abundantly reflected in this track records of development projects while in office till 2016.

Having been at the Presidency before and in opposition now for the past 8 years to reflect on the dynamics of Ghanaian politics, the former President Mahama is the most qualified to deliver the goodies for Ghanaians when voted into power in the upcoming 2024 General elections.

Without any iota of contradiction, former President Mahama will not only bring on board experienced and trusted leadership but also reinvigorated energy, fresh ideas as well as genuine political will to deal with the worsening corruption situation under President Akufo-Addo’s regime. and under his own regime to benefit Ghana and Ghanaians.

It will be at our own peril if Ghanaian voters attempt to engage in ‘Presidential experimentation’ like before in 2016 in the upcoming Presidential election on December 7, 2024.

The 2024 General elections should be about sound alternative policies but not fair hearing to be given to untrustworthy Presidential canduidates. Your vote is your voice. So, voice it and make it count!
