Salam Mustapha, the National Youth Organizer of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), has expressed confidence in the party's chances in next year’s elections after successfully electing parliamentary candidates in orphan constituencies over the weekend.

Mustapha congratulated all the winners, indicating that heavyweights like Eugene Arhin, Director of Communications at the Presidency, who secured victory in the Awutu Senya West constituency; Pius Enam Hadzide, CEO of the National Youth Authority in the Asuogyaman constituency and Sammi Awuku, Director General of the National Lottery Authority, unanimously declared NPP parliamentary candidate for Akuapem North constituency.

Other notable victories included Deputy Minister of Trade and Industry, Nana Ama Dokua Asiamah-Adjei, who triumphed over former Deputy Chief Executive of MASLOC, Alberta Afia Akoto, in the Okaikwei North primary. Dr. Bernard Okoe Boye, CEO of the National Health Insurance Authority (NHIA), secured a landslide victory to represent the NPP in the Ledzokuku constituency in the 2024 parliamentary elections.

Speaking on Peace FM's "Kokrokoo" morning show, Salam Mustapha expressed his delight in the election outcomes, describing it as a clear sign of the NPP's readiness to compete against the National Democratic Congress (NDC) in the 2024 elections.

"We are going to win the 2024 election, and it is not mere lip service," Mustapha stated.

He added, "We will win more seats than the NDC. The NPP must get more seats in Parliament."
