Professor Smart Sarpong, a Senior Research Fellow at the Kumasi Technical University, has lauded the Chief Executive Officer of the National Health Insurance Authority (NHIA), Dr. Bernard Okoe Boye, for securing victory in the New Patriotic Party's parliamentary primaries over the weekend.
Dr. Okoe Boye emerged victorious in the Ledzokuku constituency after securing 902 votes to beat his contenders.
His victory marked a return to the political scene after losing the Ledzokuku seat in the 2020 elections.
Speaking on Peace FM's "Kokrokoo" morning show, Prof. Smart Sarpong expressed his satisfaction with Dr. Okoe Boye's successful comeback to the political arena.
He commended the NHIA boss for embracing the opportunity to correct any perceived shortcomings from the previous elections.
"I applaud Dr. Okoe Boye. He has been invited onto the scene to come and correct whatever went wrong in the last elections," Prof. Smart Sarpong remarked.
