Aggrieved customers of the defunct Gold Coast Fund Management company on Wednesday blocked the entrance to the Ministry of Finance, demanding their locked-up funds.

The customers spent the night at the Ministry as part of their 32-hour picketing to press the government to release their money.

On Tuesday, November 28, 2023, the Convener of the aggrieved customers, Charles Nyame, expressed his disappointment in the government’s failure to disburse funds owed to them.

Nicholas Kwaben, one of the protestors told Citi News that, “You came in and destroyed the bank of Paa Kwesi Indoom with the aim of savaging the economy, but we're not seeing that. We'll be here till we receive our monies.”

Another customer said, “My money is here, and without this money, my life is in danger. So, I cannot go to sleep for somebody who has no interest in us to take over,” he added.
