Former President John Dramani Mahama has commended the management of the Shai Osudoko District Hospital in Dodowa in the Greater Accra region for the maintenance of the facility which was constructed and became operational under his administration.
Mr Mahama made the comments during a donation to the hospital on the occasion of his 65th birthday.
He acknowledged the efforts made by the facility to maintain a low maternal mortality rate.
The former president and NDC flagbearer also bemoaned the state of the various hospitals which were under construction while exiting office.
The hospital is one of the beneficiary facilities of the Mahama-led administration’s health infrastructure agenda.
For his donation, Mr Mahama was accompanied by his wife, Lordina, his children and members of the NDC.
