An aspiring New Patriotic Party (NPP) parliamentary candidate for the Adentan constituency, Akosua Manu, has expressed confidence in taking the seat back from the National Democratic Congress (NDC) in the 2024 elections.
The Deputy Chief Executive of the National Youth Authority announced on social media that she had successfully passed the party's vetting process to be nominated.
In a post on X today, Thursday, November 16, she revealed she has been allocated the number 3 spot on the ballot for the upcoming primaries.
"Thank you for all the support at my vetting yesterday. The campaign to represent the Adentan Constituency in Parliament kicks off now," Manu stated.
She added: "I am also pleased that as the hand of God directed, I picked ballot number 3! We will ride to victory to put Adentan in the Blue Column."
The NPP will hold constituency elections on December 2 to select candidates for constituencies they do not currently hold.
Adentan has been under NDC control since the 2020 polls when incumbent MP Yaw Buaben Asamoah lost to Mohamed Abu Ramadan.
