The Ashanti regional chairman of the governing New Patriotic Party (NPP), Bernard Antwi Boasiako, popularly known as Chairman Wontumi has fired a warning to Assin Central MP Kennedy Ohene Agyapong.
This follows a recent attack on him by the flagbearer aspirant of the party.
Addressing delegates in the Ashanti Region as part of his campaign, Kennedy Agyapong hit out at Chairman Wontumi, accusing him of using his Radio and TV Stations to insult elders.
He dared Chairman Wontumi to make a mistake and insult him if he wanted trouble.
Addressing a press conference today, Chairman Wontumi has replied to Kennedy Agyapong.
He has cautioned the NPP flagbearer aspirant to desist from threatening him or he will have him arrested.
“You are always saying someone is a fool, that you regret being in the NPP, the way you speak, this is a showdown and all that. Let it end today. If not and you threaten me again I will make sure you are arrested. It’s advice to you because you did same and Ahmed Suale is now no more.
“What I’m asking of you is that, Kennedy, tell us what you can do before the primaries one month from today,” Chairman Wontumi shared.
The flagbearer election of the ruling NPP is scheduled to be held on November 4.
