‘The emergence of Bawumia will be a threat to Mahama; he’s best material to change Ghana’ — Allotey Jacobs

Bernard Allotey Jacobs, has once again expressed his admiration for Vice President Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia as the New Patriotic Party (NPP) prepares to elect its presidential candidate for the upcoming 2024 elections.

Allotey Jacobs, who had previously warned the party against not choosing Dr. Bawumia, has expressed his confidence in Dr. Bawumia as best candidate for the NPP to win the 2024 elections.

Speaking on Peace FM's "Kokrokoo" morning show, he justified his support for Dr. Bawumia by highlighting the potential threat his candidacy poses to the opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC).

"Bawumia's flagbearership will be the biggest threat to the existence of the NDC...the emergence of Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia will be a threat to President John Mahama.

"If the NPP gives their maximum support to Bawumia, there's trouble for the largest opposition party,” Allotey Jacobs declared.

The former NDC Central Regional Chairman argued that Dr. Bawumia's candidacy would resonate strongly with the electorates in Northern regions of Ghana, which willresul in massive support and votes for the NPP.

He described the 2024 elections as a "clash of the Northern Titans," emphasizing that the Vice President's hard work, popularity, and impact in the North will do NPP alot of good.

According to him, he believes Dr. Bawumia is the ideal candidate to change Ghana's political dynamics and perceptions, emphasizing his ability to bring about positive transformations in the country's political landscape.

"The best material that can change the Ghanaian perception, that can change the Ghanaian dynamics, that can change a lot of things in our political space,” he stated.
