The Internal Audit Agency (IAA) has honour the Internal Audit Unit in the Northern Regional Coordinating Council for sticking to best audit practices.
The NRCC was adjudged the best within the Municipal and District Assemblies Category during the 2022/2023 Annual Internal Audit Conference which was held in Accra.
The Internal Audit Unit of the NRCC was commended for its outstanding performance in several key areas, including commitment to timeliness and consistency in the submission of Internal Audit Plans and reports.
They were also singled out for praise for religiously following up on recommendations and providing valuable support to management.
The NRCC received the award because the Regional Internal Auditor, Mr. Abdulai Saani, has identified and addressed internal control breakdowns and made insightful recommendations to the MMDAs.
The award was received by the Chief Director of the Regional Coordinating Council, Alhaji Alhassan Issahaku, and Mr Saani.
