Dr. Gideon Boako, Technical Advisor to Vice President Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, has warned that flagbearer aspirant Kennedy Agyapong and his supporters will "lose and lose big" if they continue to attack Bawumia's character.
In a tweet on Tuesday, September 19, Dr. Boakoh accused Mr Agyapong's camp of desperation and frustration, leading to "needless attacks" on Dr Bawumia.
"Vice President Bawumia is a good man. In the flagbearer elections campaign, Dr Bawumia is the most attacked, the most abused, the most vilified, the most disrespected, the most denigrated, and what and what, but he is still calm and very focused," he wrote.
He marvelled at Dr. Bawumia's calmness despite the attacks, saying "I wonder how many of his competitors can do the same."
Dr. Boako alleged that Mr Agyapong's supporters have even "lied about the dead mother of the Veep", saying it's shocking that "politics can get us to even lose our respect for the dead."
According to him, "their insults and attacks on the person of the Vice President and his family can not win them the elections."
He stressed that Mr Agyapong's camp is not being "serious about their campaign" and just relying on insults.
"Let them continue, and they will lose and lose big and come and cry like hungry babies with no parents," he warned.
He said NPP delegates "recognize the dynamics of the times and seasons" when choosing leaders, urging Kennedy Agyapong to go directly to the grassroots rather than attack Bawumia.
