Mahama’s Uncompleted Projects For Ghanaians, That Akufo Addo Neglected To Deteriorate

Feature Article Mahama’s Uncompleted Projects For Ghanaians, That Akufo Addo Neglected To Deteriorate

If you want to know why African politics is labeled corrupt and the reason African leaders are never given the same recognition and respect by developed countries, look no further; take into consideration what Akufo Addo did after becoming president of Ghana. When NDC lost power in 2016, even though Mahama had embarked on several projects throughout the country; many projects were still unfinished, however, Akufo Addo neglected all projects even though they belonged to Ghana.

Ghanaian politicians love to go on vacation in the United States, but the country's success will not be achieved if the Democrats reject state projects because they were initiated by the Republicans. This is how Akufo Addo wasted billions of taxpayers' money, while he could not even build a single project during his nearly seven-year tenure. The saddest part of the story is the demolition of a hospital complex serving the La-Teshie-Nungua community and his inability to build it.

Mahama discussing the abandoned projects with journalists.

These are serious issues that any media in a civilized country would discuss, but not Ghana. Instead; the media, Supreme Court judges, and Electoral Commission officials are supporting the government’s incompetence to break the 8th cycle. What is wrong with black people if according to the Bible, God created humans in His image? Akufo Addo is the first Ghanaian leader to defeat all the leaders in the sod-cutting events; yet, projects that sods were cut six years ago are to begin.
List of uncomplete projects by Mahama that Akufo Addo neglected, despite the significant debt he has accrued without accountability.

  • The E-Block in the Yunyoo/Nansuan district.
  • The Walewale- Wungu road project.
  • The Yagaba- Mankarigu road project.
  • The Dormitory and Classroom blocks at Walewale Vocational Institute.
  • A police post at Wenchiki in the Chereponi District.
  • The Yendi- Chereponi road.
  • A Dining Hall Complex at Nalerigu Secondary School.
  • The Eastern corridor.
  • A Dining Hall Complex at the Bunkpurugu Secondary School.
  • E-Block project at Langbinsi in the East Mamprusi Municipal.

The former president of Ghana, Mahama, expressed concern over Akufo Addo's failure to continue the abandoned projects, including the Central Gonja District's Mpaha Community Day School. More crucially, the current administration has allowed a project in the Savanna region's Yapei Kusawgu Constituency that may revolutionize education in the area to rot. So, if you are a human being with a healthy brain, would you support or follow someone like that? I won't.

On February 2, 2020, I wrote “A Humble Request From The Minister Of Information, Kojo Oppong Nkrumah," pleading to the Information Minister to persuade Akufo Addo to take over those unfinished projects since they are for Ghanaians, not the NDC, however, nothing positive came out of it. The president has only been intensely preoccupied with renaming institutions to honor his family, which he believes has been overlooked throughout Ghana's history.

Ghanaians can comprehend how I feel about this administration and why I think the NPP is the most useless party in the whole world. All the evil plans being made to rig the 2024 elections and break the 8th cycle by the Supreme Court judges and Jean Mensa, will backfire. They will realize what will happen in 2024, when they must face the fact that the power given to them is limited, but the real power lies with the suffering masses.
