Press Release NDC Saskatchewan branch-chapter to mark one year anniversary
AUG 15, 2023 LISTEN

It is with great joy and excitement that we will be commemorating the one-year anniversary of the Saskatchewan branch of the NDC-Canada chapter.

The group was formed in September 2022 and will be a year old in September 2023. The group which will be just a year old, has in place functional executives who were sworn in by former minister for health, the honorable Alex Segbefia via zoom. The group has as its chairman, Mr. David Sam-Brew, Samira Dzormeku as secretary, Mr. Francis Owusu as organizer, Toklo Anthony Apeti as communication officer, Sharon E. Cudjoe as treasurer, Zack as youth organizer and Nathalie Esinam as women organizer. Over the past one year, we have embarked on a remarkable journey of growth, learning and unity. Notable among our successes chalked over the past one year is the publication of articles on pressing issues bothering our country Ghana through the office of the communication officer.

From humble beginnings to where we stand today, our branch of the party has evolved into a community that exemplifies the power of unity, collaboration and shared passion.

The journey began with a handful of individuals who shared in the principles, ideology and interest of the great umbrella party (NDC), creating something extraordinary. With dedication and perseverance, we transformed our vision into a reality, nurturing the Saskatchewan Branch of the NDC into what it has become today- a formidable family of like-minded individuals who share in the vision of the party.

Reflecting on the past year, it is evident that our group has achieved remarkable milestones. We have witnessed collective and individual growth, with executives and members contributing their unique strength to our collective endeavors.

The friendships forged and the bonds created within the group have been one of the most rewarding aspects of this journey.

The anniversary celebration will serve not only as moment of reflection but also as an opportunity to set our sights on the development of the branch and the party at large, particularly heading towards an election year. As we step into the next year which is an election year, we will remain resolute and strong and continue to expand our horizons, exploring new possibilities and make an even greater impact. This article would not be complete without acknowledging the unwavering support of every member of the branch. Each individual has played a crucial role in shaping the branch’s identity and success. Our achievements are a testament to the passion and commitment of every member and we are immensely grateful for that. Looking ahead, we are filled with anticipation that the one-year anniversary celebration will be a memorable one and foster a deep bond between the branch and the mother party. As we will be celebrating this milestone, we will also renew our commitment to the values that have guided us for this period of one year: unity, collaboration, respect for one another, innovation and growth.

The theme for the anniversary celebration which comes off on September 2, 2023 is “NDC Agenda 2024: Yes, We Know We Can!!!

Here is to one year of existence and achievement of a branch of the NDC in Canada. Happy anniversary to the Saskatchewan branch of the NDC in advance. The best is yet to come.

Long live NDC, long live Ghana.
