Stanchart Markets Children's Dream Accounts

Standard Chartered Bank has introduced a new product into the Ghanaian market aimed at encouraging savings among children.

The My Dream Account (MDA) is aimed at inculcating the habit of savings in schoolchildren and also mobilising funds for investment.

The Head of Corporate Development of the bank, Mr Tara Squire, who is also in charge of the new product, said MDA would give children a brighter future.

At a seminar at Bishop Bowers School in Accra, Mr Squire said “it is the bank's utmost desire to reach out for the needs of today's child”.

The bank has started a promotion to send home the message for parents to open accounts for their children at the end of which a draw would qualify the winner, a child, to a a week-long sponsored trip to Disneyland in Paris, France.
